Gerald McNamee Hello welcome to my website. I am a retired British service man, I served 22 years in the Royal Air Force. I have always been interested in history.
I have been disappointed with the images offered in books on history, so I started going around the country taking photos of re-enactment meetings.
These societies are really a new thing started up in around the 60s. They are deadicated people, so you can be sure they have put a lot of effort and time and money, into their dress, drill etc. It is through them we can glimpse the past. I was not really happy I was not reflecting the right images just using photos, when I came across the website of Randy Steele, who now has a website with Fine art of america. On this web site I found photos turned into paintings, I agree with Randy the images looks more authentic as paintings and sketches. So I have tried to do the same, I am happy with my efforts, but continue to try new things please let me know what you think. Thanks Gerald
